Your stay and price

Property address: Avenida da Galiza, 5050-222 Peso da Régua, Portugal.

Casa da Horta is booked as an entire house for up to six guests. Your booking specifies the arrival date, departure date, guest count, rate and total price in euros. Please check these details before paying.

The total shown before payment is the final price for your stay, including applicable taxes and cleaning. No compulsory charge is payable separately. Optional extras require your agreement.

Payment and confirmation

The full total shown at checkout is payable by card through Stripe. Card details are entered on Stripe’s checkout page; Casa da Horta’s website does not receive or store your full card number or security code.

A price enquiry or an unpaid checkout does not confirm a reservation. We confirm your booking after successful payment and reservation confirmation, and send an email with your booking reference and stay details. If payment is shown as processing or you do not receive confirmation, contact us before making another payment.

Cancellation and changes

The same cancellation conditions apply to every new website booking:

• Cancellation: a full refund is available if we receive your cancellation at least 60 days before your arrival date. The 60-day period is measured from 00:00 on the arrival date, mainland Portugal time. The exact cancellation deadline is shown before payment. After that deadline, including bookings made after it, online cancellation is not available and the full booking price remains payable. Cancellations and no-shows are not refundable. If exceptional circumstances prevent your stay, contact us directly; any exception is assessed individually and must be confirmed in writing. Mandatory legal rights remain unaffected.
• Changes to dates or guest numbers: contact us. Changes depend on availability and the applicable price and conditions. Any change must be confirmed in writing.

Send cancellation requests to [email protected] with your booking reference. We will confirm receipt and explain any charge or refund due under your booked rate and applicable law. Where a refund is due, we will tell you the amount and arrange it through the original payment method where possible.

Accommodation booked for specified dates is generally excluded from the statutory 14-day cooling-off right under Article 17(1)(k) of Portuguese Decree-Law 24/2014. This does not remove the cancellation rights offered by your booked rate or other mandatory legal rights.

If we cannot provide a confirmed stay, we will contact you promptly and address any refund due for services not provided, without limiting your other legal rights.

Arrival and use of the house

Check-in is flexible. Please tell us your expected arrival time in advance so we can arrange access. Check-out is by 11:00, mainland Portugal time.

No damage deposit is currently required for direct website bookings.

Children of all ages are welcome. Pets are allowed without an additional charge. A standard accommodation booking does not include parties or events. Weddings, baptisms and other private gatherings require the host’s prior written approval and a separate agreement covering guest numbers, use of the property, services and price. Cots and extra beds are available only by arrangement and subject to availability; agree any optional extra and its price with the host before adding it to your stay.

Please respect the agreed guest count, the house, its equipment and the surrounding neighbourhood.

Complaints and consumer rights

For consumer disputes within its competence, you may contact CNIACC — Centro Nacional de Informação e Arbitragem de Conflitos de Consumo, www.cniacc.pt.

Portuguese law applies, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that apply to your booking. These terms do not restrict rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded. The terms and rate conditions supplied with your booking apply to that booking; later website changes do not retrospectively replace them.
